What gas system length for a 14.5 AR?

What is the preferred gas-length for this round in 14.5? I'm leaning towards going Middy gas, for that softer recoil; but was unsure if there's any reason to avoid it in Grendel.

Mine is a carbine gasser and I would have preferred a middy myself but I've never had a issue to date. Still it's a pretty soft shooter as is and softer since I added a comp that really wasn't needed which may be converted back to a flash hider one of these days.

Mid length is standard for 14.5 inch.

Mid-length is preferred by many, but carbine length is still very common.
