Question about JT dist.

hey guys, quick question, do you guys know what type of bolt and carrier JT dist. uses for there Grendels?

not sure about the bolt, barrels are ER Shaw. Give them a call and ask for Tim.

should i be worried if they are using the 7.62x39 Bolt Assembly. or does it work ok?

J&T is/was a licensed distributor before the SAAMI release. I am confident that they were and are using proper Grendel bolts, not 7.62x39 bolts.

However, a phone call is always confirmatory when there are questions!

AND yes, you should be worried if they are not using the proper Grendel bolt.

The JT rifles I've built had proper AA bolts. But they are active in the Arfcom industry forums, and have answered similar questions there, as well as via phone whenever I called. So it would be easy to confirm.

That's one of the things that led me to JT for bargain builds, they'll tell you who made which parts, even answering specific details. And to my knowledge have been very responsive to any issues people have had post sale.

M1 Sales on the otherhand, had no patience to do so, was not using grendel name/license, and really had no interest in the cartridge.

Post what you find out, please. I got a 5.56 upper from J&T last year and was very pleased with it. The finish matched the Spike's lower perfectly and the fit was tight.
