Anyone running a 14.5?

See a lot of 12.5, 16, and 18-mid 20’s on the forum, but not much about 14.5” grendel builds. I’m considering cutting and rethreading my 16” ballistic advantage, but need some insight on how it will run with the mid length gas system. I’ve read about plenty of guys running mid length 14.5 5.56 platforms, but couldn’t find anything in mid length 14.5 Grendel’s. It will be ran suppressed most of the time as well. Any input is appreciated.

14.5" MLGS was common from Saber Defense.

Gas port needs to be a little larger than CLGS 14.5" for unsuppressed, but they run fine.

If you have brake attach, consider measuring your brake length to inner threads and then Pin & Welding to 16" OAL for legality, then no SBR needed.

With the LaRue Tranquilo brake, you can do a 13.7" barrel with Pin and Weld.

I have a 14.5" from Krieger barrel from Precision Firearms. I like it a lot for sure, and it will be pinned and welded shortly. It runs everything I have put through it unsuppressed thus far as I am still waiting on the suppressor to get out of jail.

Thanks for the info. Definitely going to pin and weld if I end up doing it, if the yhm QD mounts allow it length wise- which I think the flash hiders will.
