Has anyone used this bullet in their 6mm Grendel? I was hoping to shoot my winter build today, but after loading some rounds with this bullet I am a bit worried. To get this bullet to fit the chamber in my McGowen ar barrel, I have to seat these to 2.20 at the very longest. I'm thinking more in the 2.190 range. All my 6.5 Grendel loads are at 2.245 or longer, and on 6mmar.com he seems to be loading berger's at 2.260. I will be starting well below listed max charges of H4895 if this load length seems ok to more experienced 6mm loaders.

Well the Bergers and hornady are 2 diffrent bullets, so yea they most likely won't have the same max seating depth.

Yes sir I've tested that bullet in my 6mmAR.....Overall length was 2.190 and I started @ 26.5 grains of H4895......All 4 of the powders I've tested so far with that bullet have been pretty accurate.....Actually 8 out of the 11 groups I've shot testing that bullet have been <1" @ 100 yards......now, start tossing a 75 grain V-max from the 1-8 twist Hart barrel on my 6mmAR and you'll really see how accurate one can be.......don't be afraid to try the light bullets.....Most of the hype seems to be about pushing heavy bullets quickly from an AR platform.....I leave that to the bigger 6mm's....The 6mmAR is the perfect mid-range rifle with lighter bullets IMHO......and I don't want to push the kind of pressures I know those guys must be getting with the stout loads listed on the 6mmAR website......

I use that bullet molyed for 200 yard rapid sitting. Bartlien barrel with 27.5 Varget.
I expect to clean the target with high X counts.

Thank you guys for the help with my question. Zeus and Highbrow.. thank you for the firsthand knowledge and experience with this particular bullet. I will try the 75gr V-max bullet later this summer. I would imagine it would be an excellent varmint round with incredible accuracy.

Shot a 199-7x sitting rapid this weekend using
Hornady 105 moly. I am abit annoyed that I let
one slip away.
