Man I love it. After Thermion comes out and bugs are worked out, I’m selling my XQ38 and either getting the Thermion or XP50 LRF. It is amazing how different the picture quality is when looking and recording through the scope versus looking at the videos once they are converted. The converted Videos viewing on Cell phone are so watered down and hazy. It looks like it’s all one gray tone, instead of the bright eight to dark contrast like the scope picture. I sure hope they will issue a software update soon to make the converted video quality better. Pulsar sure would sell a lot more units with the amount of people clicking on people’s posted videos if the video looked closer to the crisp clarity you see through the scope! I love it. Mice in a cut cane field at 200 yards catch my eye. And I’m able to identify what it is immediately ! Crazy.

Yeah the thermion specs are pretty impressive. I just don’t like needing an external battery, which is one of the reasons the Trails are such a great value. My business partner just ordered one of each of the new NVision Halo optics to check out. As far as image quality and performance goes I fully expect them to be in a totally different league (I’ll probably end up getting one at some point), but I love that detachable battery on my Trail.

100% Agreed! And that’s why I bought the Trail. Simplicity, rechargeable 6-8 hour battery and I have a 10 that gives me double the runtime. My only negative would be the small batteries, internal and external. Having to swap small batteries after 2 hours in a hunt.
