I took a just finished Grendel AR with a Larue trigger to the range today. I am impressed with this trigger. I let another shooter try shooting the rifle, it was a jaw dropping moment for him, he loved the Larue trigger.

This sale started the morning of Feb 6th, with the email announcement that morning. There might be a wait, if you're ordering now. That's always expected on the trigger sales, though, when he has them. It's only once or twice a year. I jumped on it that morning, and received mine on Feb 9th.

They are anticipating a 3 week backlog as of ten days ago. This really is the best deal going for $100. No question about it.

Larue's trigger sale, which has been happening on and off since last year, has cost me several thousand dollars. I bought a few of them...and then I couldn't help but finish the rifles they spawned.

i ordered three things from them at the first of the year. i received the ultimate upper kit and built that. shot it yesterday. my last five groups averaged 5/8". thats the good news. the bad news is i am still waiting for the matching lower i ordered for it. they told me yesterday it could be another two months. not good. my suurg upper is still in production and who know how long for that. yesterday i did assemble a lower with the larue parts and trigger. it feels very very good. i cant wait to shoot it now with the new trigger. i may order another trigger but i do know the wait will be long. i think the triggers are worth the wait. but four months to get a lower?? thats not right.

Lol. This site has no small part in the responsibility for my own rather spendy decisions I’ve made the EXACT same way over the last year. Add getting my bench up to par, and things have been laid out for my to go broke at the expense of lead and brass. Whoo Hoooo!

Still not my go to on precision rifles, but much better than standard. Ended up using the two I have on a 458 build and the other as a temporary on my 6mm Creedmoor until I get the other that will replace it. Decided I couldn't wait and want to get a range trip in.

I used a MBT in a 11.5" SBR. It feels pretty good for that kind of rifle but nowhere close to the AR Gold trigger in my AR10. I put a second MBT in a Grendel build using a Mega receiver set, that trigger feels phenomenal. I don't know if there is differences in the triggers or the receivers (most likely the receivers) but the trigger in the Mega set is perfect.

There probably is differences in both. I had a CMC that the operation of was really nice. I just didn't like the fit in any receivers. Tried it in my Seekins, Mega, Aero and RRA.

I agree, I really like my AR Gold that's in my 6.5 Creedmoor. I bought a Triggertech that is pretty close to the AR Gold in feel. That is what I have currently in my Grendel. It is nice and snug in the Seekins billet of that rifle. I had a couple of MBT's left that were new in the can. Figured I'd use them even if it is just to fill a void temporarily. The MBT at that price is probably the best of the bunch. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the MBT is a POS. It functions well. Little long and heavy compared to some others, but less than others as well. To be honest, the design of the trigger bow itself on the MBT is the best in my opinion. The reset on it is also great. That click is nice and positive. The travel to reset, that leaves a lot to be desired. Very gritty. Was like that on all three I've run. Over all not a bad trigger especially are $99.

My comment above was in regards to LaRue's site. I left reviews stating it was a good mid range trigger and definitely a great value at the price. I listed the pluses and minuses with the pluses and minuses and gave it a three dillo rating. First review never saw the light of day, the second was up for about an hour or two then removed. In the months since then I've run into others that have had the same thing happen. More than a couple have told me they won't buy from LaRue any more because of it. I'm not at that point because I think there are items that LaRue makes that are very very nice. Usually if I find a brand that is good I'll stick with them and only do cursory looks into other items. After experiencing the review system which should be labeled "praises only", I'll now do research into others first since there are many comparable products out there.

I've had that experience with other vendors so I definitely understand where you're coming from. I don't think you can rely on the reviews on a manufacturer's own site. There was a time when Larue was my first stop for certain products but they seem like they have fallen behind on technology. These days they seem like a value purchase; I bought the MBT's because of the price. For a precision rifle I'd rather have another AR Gold trigger but this specific MBT feels great and was $160 less expensive. I agree with everything you said though.

In January I ordered one of these at the (sort of) non-sale $124.99 price labeled: "I got plenty of time." Expecting it to take 6-8 weeks, I received my order in just a few days. Was it because I also bought a LaRue A-PEG grip? I kind of wish I had waited for the $99 sale to start, since I've yet to put together my build (even though I now have all the parts). Then again, it's only an extra $25 on a $1K project (before optics).

I see them for sale on other sites. In fact I have to list the last two I have. Tried two of four. Tried for precision, nope... sold one new and one used. Left the other two in the packages for other projects. Opened another to give them another try. Same experience, now they have to go. Not even going to use on my carbines as there are others that fit that functional role much better.

I ordered one, got it in about 3 weeks, and just had it installed. Feels great but haven't fired a round with it yet.
