Any of you guys do business with Huckleberry Arms?
Veteran owned. He has NIB 6.5 Toolcraft BCG on sale for $99
I got one ordered.
Just wondering if anyone has done business with him or knows him?
His online shop has some Grendel stuff, but looks to be a outdoors/shooting store.
Good communication with him.

I Bought a 6.5G bolt from him as a spare. Looks GTG but I have not used it.
I thought about selling my weapons back to the government, but after a thorough background check it was determined that the buyer has a long history of violence and is mentally unstable. Therefore could not pass NICS.

Saw that but went with WC Armory for their toolcraft nitride bcg $74 w/$7 priority shipping. Much rather have a treatment compared to a coating, less potential of an out of spec or flaking issue.

I just ordered the Nitride BCG from them 3 days ago. It was $75 then and I see it is $85 now.

Mine arrived alive today, looks good at first glance. Will likely swap the bolt with the Maxim I have on hand to pair up with my Lilja barrel.
Just measured it and it's the proper length bolt and firing pin as well.

Mine arrived today. Looks great!
I have been a nitride BCG guy for a long time. I believe the treatment is better than a coating, However...
I have one other NIB and it is extremely easy to clean and does slide easier than the nitride. As far as long term the nitride should win over the NIB.
But the NIB is sweet. Especially the Toolcraft polish job on the bolt carrier.
I don't shoot anything enough to wear it out, so I opt'd for the cool factor on this one for $20 more than the normal nitrides BCGs I have.
BTW Hucleberry Arms had incredibly fast shipping for me and I couldn't beat the price on Grendel NIB BCG.
Curious how NIB holds up on full auto fire though. Has anyone tested one to see how it does compared to nitride?

Good to hear they hucleberry shipped quick, their price was good for that for sure. I was going to jump off the plank and go for the toolcraft Ion Bond DLC bcg then realized I'm still paying financial aid to my two college students, frugality kicked in again. And now I start wondering again about the nitride process on a bolt and whether it may cause internal softness due to 1000+ degree salt bath, or if I am just overthinking it...seems everything can have a give or take issue.

before doing that verify that the toolcraft bcg uses a mil spec firing pin
at one time they did not. they had a shorter pin, and a standard length bolt
for a .136 bolt face, the bolt tail had to be lengthened to keep the firing pin standard length

It does indeed have the proper bolt length and mil spec firing pin!
