Bolt question - Alexander arms barrel Vs Ballistic Advantage barrel

Doing some changes to my “deer rifle” and will be switching my barrel from the 16” Alexander Arms “light” barrel to a Ballistic Advantage barrel. The AA barrel will go on a different build.

The question I have which the person at AA customer service didn’t quite answer for me was will my bolt I bought from AA WITH their barrel work in the Ballistic Advantage barrel which I am pretty sure has the type 2 chamber. Does the SAAMI Spec AA barrel also use a type 2 chamber / bolt ?

If anyone can give me a clear answer I would greatly appreciate it. One can get quite lost in the google results. Thanks !

It ought to work just fine. Both barrels should be headspaced to a .136” bolt face depth so the AA bolt should work in the BA barrel.

Do you not consider it to be a lightweight barrel? It's one of the lightest I could find (which is why I bought one).

And why not use it for a deer rifle anymore?

It’ll still be used for a deer rifle / coyote gun. Just making some changes.
The rifle always has a AAC 762sdn6 suppressor on it. I’m getting too much blowback with my reloads. Plus since I shoot left handed due to my vision, my nose and eyes are right next to the ejection port so I take ALL of the gas to the face.
So in the process of switching from a standard gas block to a Superlative Arms Adjustable gas block and finding out a friend just became a Ballistic Advantage dealer and can get me parts at cost i just figured I’d slap a new barrel on it.
