I made one with the basic grip- epoxied in a cable -coupler nut in 3/8 "-- it's about 2" long. Found a few nice stainless carriage bolts, of different lengths- polished the caps. Worked well- took it off of rifle-can't find it anywhere.

A cheaply made mono pod. I'll make a better unit this spring- one that I can sell.

i just think thats the slickest way to support the rear end. plus theres no perssure on the tube
