Build with an AA overwatch

Two issues Everyone, First;
I finally got my Grendel Upper, an AA Overwatch 24" with the A2 flash suppressor. I'm debating on removing the suppressor since this will be primarily a target/varmit rifle. If I remove the suppressor I have 2 questions:

1. Who would be a good shop to cut and crown the barrel
   
2. Since I have access to a lathe myself, could I cut and crown the barrell, if so is there a resource available for the proper crowning technique?
   

It always comes across that crowning a barrel takes a degree of voodoo to accomplish correctly, but I am always game to try things myself. I figure if I screw it up I could always send the barrel out to be recut and recrowned.

Second:
The current lower I am using has a timney trigger installed. When I complete the 0% i am building for the Grendel upper I may want to try a different trigger. But I have no experience with any other trigger then the mil spec and the Timney. What are some of the triggers of choice for primarily target/varmint shooting?

Adco Firearms does good work, and Class3Machining is gaining a good rep as well.

Frankly, I think crowning a barrel is not all that hard, nor is perfection required (unless you're shooting benchrest where a .1MOA difference is a major factor). I used Brownell's crowning tools to cut and crown my own Savage bolt action barrel and it shoots lights out.

As for triggers, the best AR trigger I have ever used is the Geissele DMR two stage. Very crisp break, no overtravel, and reliable with all types of primers. I've owned CMC, JP Rifles, Timney, and Geissele AR triggers and I'll take Geissele any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

A thread protector in place of the flash hider would be an easy change without requiring barrel work.

FWIW, the existing flash hider probably has little or no effect on your accuracy.

Thanks Guys, I've been leaning towards the Geissele and sounds as if I may give it a go.

Drifter, I realize that the flash hider has little effect on the rifle, but since I am in N Y the flash suppressor is another of those evil features that are now banned. Removing the threads and crowning the barrel eliminates one more thing that is easily noticeable and could lead to issues.
