Horde,
I have a question about gas tubes for heavy barrels. Which gas tube do I us? All the gas tubes I have seen have a bend in them. Who makes a gas tube for a gas block on a .936 journal?

I've used a standard gas tube with a 936 block without any problems. If a straight tube is necessary, it will be specified by the manufacturer of the gas block.

That's what I was wondering. My next build will have a bull barrel. I am in the process of buying parts for the build. In am ordering the bbl next week.

Same here. I have two AR's right now with .936" gas block journals, and have owned 3 others-mostly AR10's. My current two are:

* JP 18" RLGS-uses standard rifle gas tube

* GAP .260 Remington with custom profile, .936" gas block journal, uses standard rifle gas tube

One of my .936" bbl's came with a gas block and tube, and for the other bbl I bought the gas block and standard rifle length gas tube separately. Both bbl's are RLGS, and while I didn't compare them side-by-side, I do remember the gas tubes aligned quite nicely with the gas tube journal on the upper. No tweaking or coaching was needed, and the gas keys of both bolt carriers scarcely contact the tube, at all.

I'd say it's a non-issue, if my experiences are representative at all.
