Barrel Contour

I hope I am not the only one wondering what a WASP contour is. I have seen it mentioned in the Lilja group buy thread.
Also, does anyone know the contour specs on the AA 20" Entry barrel?

This is an image of our AR Wasp contour turned on the AR750 contour and fluted ahead of and behind the gas block. This blank is 24" long and weighs 2.74 pounds as shown.

This image shows the three AR-type contours that we are keeping in-stock as a drop-in type barrel. The top contour is our AR24 contour, the middle one is our AR740 with the Wasp weight reduction section turned on the .975" diameter. The bottom contour is the M-4.

I want either a heavy barrel for match use or a light barrel for hunting use so it is very simple to me, an HBAR A2 profile 20" does the trick for service rifle use, a Satern Ultralight 14.5" with integral flash hider does the trick for a light weight big game rifle. I have blinders on for all others, because I have seen the others duke it our in competition. For my NRA match rifle I shoot a HBAR profile except extended to 26 or 28" instead of 20". But I see enough skilled riflemen put a whipping on 26 and 28 rifles using their 20" even at 600 yards that I don't think it adds much difference.
For me personally, I can shoot 195-196 scores with a 20" and 195-197 with a 28" heavy contour. It really just doesn't make that much difference.Skill and wind reading abilities make much more measurable difference. Perceptions are not very accurate. :}
Those wanting to gain an advantage in sales are much more concerned with a specific profile than those using the profiles.
