Just got a notice that Precision Firearms is so backlogged with orders that they are taking All Grendel ammo off stocking levels and just shipping it as they make it. I know it's not like one of the biggies can't keep up, but it does sound like the word has gotten out. As nature abhors a vacuum maybe we'll get another player( or two) into the game.

Hey gives you more time to start buying and researching reloading. That way you are never at the mercy of the market! Its simple..brass, bullet, powder, primer.

The down side is it's raising the prices. I use to be able to get a box of Hornady ammo for $17-$18 a box at gun shows. Was at a gun show this past weekend and the cheapest anyone had it was $25 a box because "demand for Grendel ammo as has increased greatly since January"

I feel your pain. I ordered my first 6.5 G in early Feb of 09, and got it on the end of Oct.It had two older brothers by then, and the only ammo I could find was Wolf SP.

Unfortunately, this is all ammo and not just Grendel ammo. I think after the panic of the last election people are starting to hoard earlier this go-around so they don't get caught short if/when it happens again. Reloading components are getting harder to come by too.

Global demand on metals is driving a lot of this, since China and India are trying to wire neighborhoods and new developments for electricity like it's cool or something. Add to that plumbing, and other fairy tale luxuries we enjoy in the US and semi-developed Europe, and the rest of the world is sucking up metals like a crackhead on the end of a pipe after getting released from a 10yr prision sentence.
