Traded Zap (my 5.56 Ruger MPR) for a new Arrow Products 6.5 Grendel because everyone wears armor now and that little bitty round don't cut it. Had some failure to feed problems with the first mag but changed it out for a dedicated 6.5 mag and haven't had any more problems. We're still getting to know each other so groups are still 2" @100yds but it's getting better. Scope is a SWFA 10X fixed pwr. I'd be interested to hear what ya'll have done to make friends with this critter.

Welcome to the forum KAR! Careful with the 6.5 Grendel as it is very easy to get addicted to this cartridge. I have five AR-15s chambered in 6.5 Grendel plus a a Cz 527. I reload for 6.5 Grendel and that adds to the addiction. Ive shot several varieties of bullets 123 grains or less. You have to watch the online vendors for ammo and 6.5/.264 bullets as they tend to sell out fast. Ive shot a lot of Nosler and Sierra Blem and factory over run bullets. The Barnes Match Burners are a popular bullet in the 6.5 Grendel.
There are a few sources currently loading 6.5 Grendel and AAC ammunition is supposed to release 6.5 Grendel ammo any time. Starline 6.5 Grendel brass has been getting easier to find and 6.5 Outfitters has about the best price and is currently available.
Graf & Son used to be the importer for Prvi Partizan and still have PPU bullets and brass. Grafs may not have the absolute best prices but they are a reliable vendor.

I saw oz and was thinking Australia. Level 3 will still stop grendel. If poking holes in hardened steel or ceramic is your thing, go back to 5.56 and look at black tip

KAR,
I agree with Zene - Wrong calibre if armor piercing is what you want. Easier to stick with 5.56 and use SS109/M855.
