Hi everyone. New member here down in South Florida.
Just finished a Grendel build and want to thank everyone who has contributed their knowledge on this forum. It was a great reference source while planning and picking out parts.
My other favorite hobby is freediving and spearfishing which is where my handle comes from.

Will take some photos next time Im at the range but Ive already fallen in love with the rifle and cartridge. Got chased off the range prematurely by a good ole Florida summer storm last outing, but first 5 round group after zeroing the scope was .9 MOA @100 yds. Cant wait to get more time behind the rifle to tighten that up.

Welcome aboard! A buddy of mine who also has Grendels is an avid spear fisher without tanks.
He says the anaerobic shall inherit the earth.

Thanks for the warm welcome Chuck. Funny enough, I actually live one block from Trattoria Romana and have plans to go this weekend. Fantastic spot for sure!
I built the rifle specifically for hog/deer. Relatively new to hunting either but plenty of opportunities down here, especially for pigs. Also have gator tags for later in the year which is a great time.
You picked a good place to go shark fishing.. there are some monsters lurking in the gulf.
Good luck to UGA, but if I'm getting a tattoo anytime soon it would be my Florida Atlantic Owls

Thank you! That's awesome, love your buddy's quote. Spearing might just be the most fun/efficient form of hunting out there. Freediving definitely adds an extra challenge and it's much more immersive when you don't have to hear a constant stream of bubbles.
