Appreciate you sharing this, watched it last night. Watching this took me back nearly 50 years ago to the summers following my soph and jr high school years. Went on 2 different boy scout canoe trips (Ontario and Manitoba) that were about 10 days as I recall. Lots of canoeing, portaging, fishing, camping, and mostly enjoying the natural beauty of a very different environment from where I lived in Texas. Our group was 9 total including the guide, 3 per canoe. When canoeing, we would rotate front, back, middle, with the guy in the middle 'resting'. When portaging, which we did multiple times per day, one person would carry personal gear for all 3, one would carry tent, food and other camping gear, and the 3rd person would carry the canoe. The carry load for each responsibility was about even. It wasn't easy camping but it was just the challenge a 15-16 year old wanted. Back then anyway.

Glad you enjoyed it! Sounds like we’re about the same age. I’ve been lucky enough to do a little hunting and fishing in that general area, Killarney up to Sudbury. Born and raised coastal mid-Atlantic and have always enjoyed camping in the Canadian bush!
