OSS TI 7.62 cans

I have multiple OSS TI 7.62 cans I use on 5.56, 6mm CM, and 6.5 Grendel’s. Quality and function seem good. I use OSS flash hider muzzle devices. If anyone is thinking of getting one I wouldn’t hesitate. I don’t use any of my rifles without a can, it’s that much better.

Interesting, by the looks of things, there was no gas coming out of the ejection port when using and OSS suppressor. How is the gun supposed to cycle properly without gas? There has to be gas to cycle the gun, right?

Recoil with the OSS can is noticeably less along with the lack of spray. Ejection is weaker as well. Hmmm.

So if there is no spray, then there was no gas, or they faked it. The reason I say this is that there is spray even when shooting WITHOUT a can on (at least if the BCG is being run wet). However, the shirt on the man's chest doesn't even ripple with ejection port gasses. Why? So this demonstration looks a little weird.

OSS isn’t even OSS anymore, but rebranded as Huxwrks.

OSS was started by a guy out of 19th Special Force Group, who then had the business taken over and sent in a direction he fundamentally disagreed with.

The new ownership rebranded it as Huxwrx in 2022 right before SHOT.

They do reduce back pressure when they’re clean, but there have been reports of issues with fouling accumulation in the gas flow path labyrinth design.



It’s a very interesting approach to suppressor design and the problems with back pressure and ejection port discharge.

If we had free access to suppressor research, development, testing, and evaluation without the BS from the NFA, we could be far more along the process of improving them with the American spirit of innovation and solving problems.
