Your lucky to get a press from your dad, my dad did not use a press but a Lee Precision Loader to reload rifle rounds in 1972 using a hammer.
It was a gift from me, I think I spent around $40 from Gander Mountain in Wilmot. I was using hand presses before I got the RCBS.
