Im new to this forum but I have been a 6.5 shooter for a couple of years now. I work and live in SoCal, I have a small house and land up in Idaho where I do most of my shooting. 2 AR builds in 6.5, mega gator lowers and 16 18 lilja barrels. Not a fan of the adjustable gas block but I havent dabbled in hand loads yet and that may change my mind. I did find a couple of sources for decent priced ammo on a weekend trip to Vegas last month, picked up 5 boxes of Hornady black at $31 each. Pleasure to be here and I hope to learn a little on hand loads.

Welcome Dirtbag, its good to have another SoCal Grendel shooter here! I will assume you have an affiliation with LB?
Do you have a local range here in Cali, or just shoot in ID?

I thought nobody would get that dirtbag reference.lol. Catcher and assistant gm for a few years, great team. I shoot in priest river Idaho mostly or head to my fathers outside of flagstaff. He set up a range with his neighbor and shoots a lot. If your down for it I do runs out his way every couple of months and you are invited. Word of warning- he equates everything in life to his 2 tours of Vietnam.

I have a good buddy that played for them in the early 90's. I might have to take you up on the AZ trip some time. I'm a weekend member at WEGC, and can get you out there. Also, I have been reloading for a while and might be able to help you there too.

Most definitely interested, I used to shoot IPSC at Olympic range years ago but it consumes way to much time. Back when 10mm was $24 for 50 rounds.

I didnt know grendel had a handbook dedicated. I have been eyeballing the Hornady book, thank you.
