Anyone use Shooterscalculator.com? My tables won't open and am unable to open their site using Brave browser. Just gives me a 500 server error. Been the same issue for a few days. Can someone help me verify if the site is working?
Using free version of Streloc as a sub but I have most of my tables for 20 different loads and 10 rifles using shooters on my phone.

Thanks Mesa1978. At least I now know it's not just on my end. Lesson learned, at the very least I should print hard copies of all my tables for inclusion in my log books.

The KE and recoil energy links seem to be up (using MS Edge Win 10), but the 2 links on left of page don't.
When I opened the KE link a window popped up saying the site is undergoing a "massive overhaul"... FWIW.
Definitely get something that runs locally on your machine, like pointblank, or iStrelok (free or Pro),,,
I wouldn't be too reliant on web-based apps that have to link up with a server in these times...

Or even a Kestrel that is a stand alone unit that isn't reliant upon a Big Tech operating system to function.
Ideally, I'd like to use the Applied Ballistics Point Mass Ballistic Solver on CD that came with Litz's book. My laptop crashed and probably lost the processor from running it too hot after I lost the cooling fan. Time for a new 'puter and a Kestrel.

Ballistics apps should work when you are out of range of phone coverage, mine does.
It would be a mischievous thing for Apple to send code to purchasers of their phones, to disable an app you have paid a third party for. It is likely they would be sued by not only the phone user but also the app owner.

Klem, like I stated, lesson learned. I have my velocity data and a fair amount of dope in log books, including BC's. I have been using Shooters to generate drop and drift tables for easy reference since my laptop took a turd over a year ago. I understood the risk. Not the end of the world but a temporary inconvenience.
I was attempting to input some data for a new load worked up for a 300WM when I found Shooters calc tool wasn't working, so I simply used Strelok to produce the drops I needed to confirm out to 1200.

'Big Tech' is not going to deliberately delete your shooting data or access to the app, because the owners might be against the 2A or guns in general.
We're not talking about social media and political issues here. This thread is about shooting apps using cloud-based servers to store the data, used by all sorts of people: farmers, target shooters, hunters, police and military throughout the world. If Apple decides to shut them down it would make the media and consumers would flock to Samsung. They would also be sued. You purchased a product in good faith, and the manufacturer is now trying to limit your enjoyment of it after the sale. That sort of mischievous action would end their company.
As for the shooting app you also purchased that is a different scenario. The app owners take your money but they may go broke and your data stored on their, or their leased servers evaporates. This is a more realistic scenario. If they lease server space via a third party like Amazon Web Services then sure, those guys are currently making value judgements about political and advocacy groups. But, that is social media and this is data storage of a lawful activity - two very different things. Like this forum, it may be hacked from time to time or have issues with whoever hosts the data. Your data may be deleted but it still works, in which case if you have no back-up you start again.
