Grendel Pistol Barrel - Custom Specs

I want to source a pistol barrel. I have not seen something available that is very close, so perhaps I am looking for a custom barrel. Please give your suggestions.

I’m near sea level and would like to shoot effectively 0 - 800 yards and achieve around 2 moa at 800 with a handy little 12” ish pistol. Mix of fast shooting and precision shooting. I know this is demanding. Seem feasible?

Is there a reasonable option that’s up to it (Monster, or Lilja group buy, etc)?

Or perhaps call Performance firearms and request something like the following laundry list: *I am new to a lot of this so let me know if something doesn’t make sense.

- 6.5 Grendel (SAAMI chamber)
- Bartlein blank
- Stainless material - but open to suggestions
- 12.7" barrel length
- Slow-Tapered rear portion
- 0.750" gas block
- Gas block set screw dimples or pin groove?
- 0.068" gas port centered within a rifling groove
- carbine length gas system (7")
- Muzzle threaded 5/8-24
- 11 degree target crown
- oversized (diameter) pinned barrel extension for hand fitting to upper receiver
- M4 style feed ramps
- 3R or 5R CUT easy engraving rifling
- 1:7" twist (129gr ABLR down to 100gr wolf)
- Hand lapped

Open to suggestions to trim fat or optimize specs for what actually matters. Looking to maximize performance but money IS an object (prefer to pay only what is required up to $400 or so). What would you do to achieve my goals above?

I would consider adding a minimum bbl OD at muzzle threads of 0.730". Keep as much meat out there as possible. This way you meet the recommended minimum shoulder requirement that some suppressor manufacturers spec out.

Call Mark at PF and tell him exactly what your requirements are and then pay him for the barrel he suggest.

And it's going to be a expensive one but it's going to be one heck of a amazing barrel provided you have the skills too use its potential.

i have a couple of x-caliber barrels in 6.5 grendel. they all shoot very accurately!!!!

This is definitely down our line of work but getting these requirements all in one barrel is going to cost way over $400. A Bartlein Blank is close to $350 for a bare blank. I estimate around 950 for this barrel with the listed requirements.

Man, I'm a little picky, to be sure, but if I'm building or buying a gun with an accuracy requirement, it had better be shooting (guaranteed) under 1MOA, consistently. For 2 MOA, you buy a mil-spec barrel.
