I have been looking to build a 6.5 Grendel Pistol and liked the look of one of PSA's (PSA AR-15 Complete MOE EPT Pistol Lower With SB Tactical PDW Pistol Brace, Black - 516446451). I looked at it last night and again today and the price went up 20%. $279.99 vs. $349.99. I am not sure if this was across the board but thought it was interesting. Needless to say I will just build my own. Is everyone else seeing price increases like this?

PSA pricing has always been all over. You have to watch the daily deals and stay on it. Everyone is busy and shipping is delayed. I will say that my Toolcraft BCG shipped very timely from Toms tactical.

Just some advice- if I was in your position.
I’d buy the group buy Monster Barrel here.
BCG from Arm or Ally- right to bear or even MidwayUSA( on sale right now)
Blem upper from Bravo Company
Handguard of choice
Gas block/tube wherever

It will possibly cost more than the PSA but will perform better.

What is your budget? A mid-quality pre fit barrel will cost you $200-$300.A high-quality custom barrel you’ll be looking at $500-$600
I would decide on and get the barrel first. The barrel is your most important component .Everything else is standard.

Thanks for the info. I will look into the Group Buy barrels. I have never heard of Tom's Tactical or Bravo Company before. I will scroll through their websites.

I think when I bought mine $280 was the ‘sale’ price and $340 was the full price.
Pretty typical for PSA, most items are on sale and if not, just wait a few weeks.

I decided to go with the group buy Monster 12” barrel and bolt. Matched Samuri upper/lower from Precision, 12” rail from Just rails carbine length gas tube, Complete tool craft BCG/Bolt, sBA4 pistol kit from Right To Bear. SLR Adjustable gas block from brownell’s. Waiting on parts to complete. Received barrel today and bolt today. Excited to get everything put together. Will give update once completed.

Building another once the group buy 16” Lilja barrel comes in. Going to put it on a billet matched set.

I love this cartridge, killed my largest (2) white tails last year with PSA 20” and follow up shots are quick if needed,

I checked all the dimensions on my new 6.5 Grendel Monster bolt and the measurements are spot on. I used a Hornady tool to measure the cartridge overall length. I have measured seven previous 6.5 Grendel barrels with the same bullets and my measurements of my 12” Group Buy is gtg. The measurements of the 12” GB barrel were almost exactly the same as my Shilen 6.5 Grendel barrel. I just need to get my upper assembled. I pretty much have put this project on hold because of the panic buying and family obligations. I’ve debated on pulling my 12” PSA Nitride barrel and trying my GB but I think I’ll just wait a few months till I have more time.

I was able to shoot my new Pistol today and was impressed by its accuracy. Here are the best 3 shot groups. I only fired a box of 123GR Hornady ELD Match[ATTACH=CONFIG]15923[/ATTACH] Not bad in my opinion for my first try at building one from parts.[ATTACH=CONFIG]15924[/ATTACH]
