Good Lord No. That's the last thing the lil sweet howa mini action needs is a freaking ar15 mag hanging out the bottom of it.

That conversion requires modifying the receiver as well as the stock, if I were going to modify the Howa mini action I would choose a magazine that brought more to the table.

Thanks for posting that link; I think that's pretty neat! I don't know what internal magazine length that allows but it looks like that setup would work well in our local matches.

It should work well for shooting PD too. I use the 15 and 30-round carbine magazines in my custom Mini all the time. It's nice to get set up and shoot a bunch without changing position.

It's a pmag. So 2.260 is max and probably rubbing the mag interior.

You will have more room in the howa mags that come with the action.
