Before I took the plunge and bought an RAP in 6.5 Grendel I wanted to make sure that somebody made a pre-fit match barrel at a decent price. Because although I know the RAP 6.5 Grendel comes with a pretty accurate barrel from the factory, I want to know that I can upgrade if necessary.
I know a guy at the range who uses patriot valley arms for his custom barrels and he wins some matches. He was telling me to call Joe at patriot valley arms and ask him about a match barrel for a Ruger American in 6.5 Grendel,so I did.
They don?t list a 6.5 Grendel pre fit Ruger American barrel on their site ,so you have to call them and order it.
A custom pre fit Ruger American barrel in 6.5 Grendel ,whatever contour you like and whatever length is $450 plus shipping pretty much around the same as an AR barrel.Threading and fluting is extra. They use Rock creek blanks.
I posted this FYI. And I?m not sure I?m even ever going to replace my RAP Grendel barrel, but it?s good to know that somebody manufactures a prefit barrel just in case.
