Yup. You can see that syndrome in the other thread, where some folks here advocate that the government create new laws to "do something about it."

Even without the shootings, I could have predicted more gun legislation. The sky is always falling in the world of the 2nd Amendment.

In my experience it's the gun world where the sky is always falling, gun scares are great for the gun companies. I over paid for a couple of guns when Obama was going to take everything away from us.

At least at any point in the last 50 years, you could predict more gun legislation an be correct. We have had it under democratic leaders and republican leaders. That Rush Limbaugh said it does not add any credibility to the notion, although he is quite the alarmist and rabble rouser.

We are in an ongoing battle, right? Sort of like the war on terror, the DHS can predict possible terror attacks in 2019 or 2020. I can, too. It is sort of a no brainer. They will come come. Terrorism didn't go away before August 14, 2019. Democratic cries for more gun control did not cease before today either.
