Finally got a Grendel AR Upper!!!

Got an upper in 6.5 Grendel finally! Top is the Grendel, bottom is my 223 Wylde.

20" Faxon gb barrel, CMT upper, Brownells bcg. Rise Armament SST trigger, A2 stock/buffer. Currently has a Mueller APT, but I will probably put something higher powered on it for load development. I want to get a Luth AR stock for it eventually; the A2 isn't as comfy fromthe bench. Shot it today, loved it!!

Best group of the day, 123 SST over 31.4gr Leverlution at 2.25" oal. 4 were in .75", 5th brought it to 1.25". Cross hairs on the scope are fairly thick and I used a round bag instead or my normal rear bag.

How do you like the Mueller scope? I have one on a 1022 but would be a bit afraid of putting it on something with more recoil. Maybe I am being over cautious haha.

I used the APT on my Winchester 52 and a 8-25 Mueller on my CZ 452, then a Savage 223, then a 6.5 Creedmoor had the 8-32 Mueller before I went to an Athlon Midas BTR. They work well and are pretty clear. 200yds out, 223 holes are visible, but thats as far as I have shot with it.

Is the ejection port size of concern with a Grendel?
I'm building Aero Precision, but do I need an XL upper?

No. Grendel uses uppers with mil spec ejector ports.

Thanks, the builders set was a good decision, however, that means that I will not have an extra upper. Thanks for the reply.
