My Grendel Pistol

Hey guys!
New to this whole thing. First time AR, first time Grendel, first time build, you name it.
I have been reading up a lot about these and finally decided to jump in.
I went entry level with the basic PSA 6.5 Grendel pistol kit in 12". Here is a pic of that assembled.
Going to swap the barrel to the Group Buy 12" barrel and put the Odin Works Atlas on the end. It will be wearing a Burris XTRII 1.5-8 soon. Hopefully the package delivers what I am looking for.
I'll update with new pics once things are in place. And likely follow up with a range session report (very basic though).

Got the group buy barrel installed and completed with the Odin Works Atlas 6.5 compensator and the custom (soon to be up and running group buy) dust cover. Scope mounted - dang thing feels like it nearly doubled the weight.

Got to the range with it for a brief shooting session to zero the scope. It performed well. I was told by others that it might be loud - I never even heard the thing. Using Walker XCel 100 electronic muffs. Side note, difficulty with getting behind it and lined up with these muffs. Hopefully a bit of practice time will alleviate the issue. It chewed the Hornady Black 123, the Custom 123, and some Federal Fusion readily enough.

I bet that comp barks pretty loud if you're not the one sitting behind it. Nice pistol! Did you ever shoot the psa barrel?

The noise from behind it isn't that bad. Outdoors, I honestly didn't really notice it. Indoors, well, its sorta loud. But it was fun. As for other's thoughts on the matter... aside from a "What the hell is that guy shooting!? ... I didn't get any love/hate and no complaints. It was substantially louder than most the other things being used at the time, but I didn't walk the line to see what all was being shot.

I did NOT shoot the PSA - the timing was not adequate and I was really more interested in the MONSTER barrel. So, unfortunately, I cannot give a comparison - Sorry.
