E-Lander shipping blocked mags

I just received a 17 round magazine from LaRue, made by E-Lander. The packaging was sealed at the factory and labeled 17 rounds.

It is blocked with a rivet at 5 rounds.

So everyone who has new or recent orders of 17 Round E-Lander mags check them as soon as you get them to ensure you got what you ordered.

Hmmm. I just got mine from them yesterday. I didn't notice anything like that but now I'll have to double check.

I got a couple 17s and a couple 10s. The 17s are fine but the front side of the 10s are bowed in a little. The one is fine but the follower is binding in the other. I shot them an email this morning about an exchange. I've never done business with them before but they have such a good rep, I'm sure it'll be taken care of.

I got one in from Larue last week and didnt even think to check that. I will now.

I havent loaded mine to 17 but I looked it over and didnt see anything that would keep it to 5 rounds.

I am having the same problem! I order 6 - 17 round magazine from Larue (came in the mail yesterday) and when I tried to load them 2 of the 6 would not load past 5. Didn't notice until ErikS's post that there is a rivet partway down the backside of the magazine. I emailed Larue on Saturday so hopefully I’ll get a response tomorrow.

Bingo. Just like mine. I can run 8 rounds in a 30 rnd Pmag. 5 gets me nothing.

Damn thats crazy, I recently got the 10 and 25 rounder and I have no issues with the 25 stopping at 5.

Spoke with LaRue today and they were great. They are replacing the two that are not correct. He said that they never ordered any 17 rd blocked magazines, so not really sure how they ended up with them. No questions asked and I have two new ones on the way. Great Customer Service!

My replacement came today. I am sending the blocked one back. It is boxed up and the label LaRue provided printed.

Funny thing, the shipping may be more than they paid wholesale for the mag.

disassemble the mag, drill out rivet, run a file over the burr on the inside of them mag, reassemble, function test, no problem, moisture drain

Y'all must have gotten the Commifornia or New York models. I wonder if you are from Maryland, like me, they are blocked at 10?

Colorado mags are blocked by rivets, took me three minutes to remove them from 6 mags, screw their gun control BS
