Boys,
I can post pictures with ease on my fishing board I frequent often, Catfish1.

I can’t seem to get the hang on how to do it here…

Would someone please teach me.

Bear in mind that I am a University of Georgia graduate, so please keep it simple.

1) Click Go Advanced in the lower right corner of the reply box.

2) Click Manage Attachments

3) Click Add File

4) Click Choose File

5) Select photo

6) Click Upload

7) Click Open

8) Insert Inline

9) Click Done

10) Click Submit Post

Don't fret, the KISS principle does not apply to the uploading photo process on here.

And photos have a size limitation of 1500x1500 pixels max.

I use a free photo web hosting site. I upload my pictures from my iPad to Flickr. Set picture to public viewing and put the BBC code in my narrative (cut & paste or copy BBC to narrative). The BBC code is a hot link to my picture on Flickr. I previously used Photobucket but then they wanted to start charging a high fee. I wasn’t going to pay when I can get a free service even though it has advertisements.

Flickr has an app but you can’t get a BBC code using the app. I use the Flickr website for posting pictures so I can control what pictures get uploaded to Flickr. I don’t use Flickr for personal photos.


Chuck if you decide you want to try Flickr I can give you detailed instructions on posting pictures. Another advantage to Flickr is you pick the picture size and you can edit your pictures.

Here is a screen shot showing the BBC code high lighted from copy. There is a drop down menu for selecting picture size. You can see it is set to medium size.

I have come to hate web hosting sites because if they change their policies, the pictures become unavailable. A couple of days ago I was researching something and over half the pictures were no longer available.

I agree and is why I only use the hosting site for posting pictures to the internet. My personal family pictures are stored on a cloud and other sources. Nothing is perfect and the free web hosting sites are just another option and pretty easy to use.
