I'd be looking for a 20" barrel with a faster twist rate. Synthetic or laminate stock. I'm actually envisioning something like a Rem. model 7 or scout type rifle.

Bad news guys Mossberg released a skew for a 308 this year. So without some poking from the Grendel crew Mossberg will probably not notice.

seen somewhere they said a 7.62x39 was coming. I think a 6.5 G wouldnt be hard if they had a 7.62x39 bolt, the Howa has a 6.5 swede so a barrel would be easy to recut if they are the same threads.

There won't be enough meat left in the barrel to cut a 6.5 Swede chamber off and cut a 6.5 Grendel chamber.

Having said that, it is not all that hard to get a nice 6.5mm barrel and have it fitted to an MVP if it were available.

IMHO there is a market for a light bolt rifle in 6.5 Grendel - the first manufacturer that does it will realise a useful numbers of orders.

All i need is the right bolt, i can take it from there. There are plenty of shops that will change the barrel for me. Cool
