I have a Rem Mod 7, should I go 6.5 Grendel or 6.5 Creedmoore?

I just wanted a 6.5 of some sort, it's currently Chambered in .243 (factory barrel). I have a HS Precision stock on it and had the bolt fluted and a Tactical bolt knob installed. Mostly cosmetic? I'm leaning towards the Creedmoore and having the action gone through.

TacBlade, I am new to the Grendel, and I just built one on a Savage action. I built it because of all the positive charestics associated with the round, but also because my shooting is limited to 300yds.

If most of your hunting is done at 300yds or less, my vote would be for the Grendel. If most of your hunting is 300yds or greater, I would suggest the 260, Creedmore, or 6.5x47. My logic for this Grendel build was aided by,"why am I burning 1,000yds worth of powder when limited to 300yd shots"?

I have a 260Rem, which I like very much. A possible solution to your decision could be, flip a coin, build heads this time around, and build tails next time :-)) Just Sayin!

Another idea, turn that 700 action into a "Remage", as sold by Northland Shooters Supply. That way, as a "step child" of the "Brotherhood of the Barrel Nut", you could change barrels at will and make that action almost any chambering you want :-)). I now have a 6.5 Creedmoor, X-Caliber, 20" barrel and I am dropping everything off tomorrow to be worked over by them. Pics will follow when it's done. Anyone need a pencil barrel in .243?
