Grendel Single Shot info needed

Looking for info on a single shot GRENDEL. I have a few sb2 nef's and would like to know if anyone has done a GRENDEL.

Joker, I've got a bunch of H&R slug guns for me and my boys, so I love the H&R/NEF single-shot break actions. I haven't heard of anyone chambering in the 65G, BUT . . . it NEEDS to be done.

I've got an Encore on the way from Bullberry Barrel Works (http://www.bullberry.com/).

They list an accuracy guarantee of 1 moa with their system: "Apart from our shotgun barrels, all barrels produced by Bullberry, in any profile and caliber, pistol or carbine are guaranteed to give sub minute-of-angle accuracy when used with our forearm hanger system (available in both Woodsmith and synthetic forearm types)."

I'll know how well mine does in a month or two.

Damn man, that's a beautiful pistol... those actions are expensive as hell... not sure I could go that far. I'd love one. I guess the only way you can build a pistol is a virgin receiver. I really wish they had a 3 shot blind mag receiver that was affordable. I know savage makes them but nobody makes a pistol stock for savage competition receivers(that I have seen anyway) they made a pistol for a couple years but I guess they discontinued it because of poor sales. The Savage barrel nut and action would make an awesome switchbarrel pistol. I have shot contender platform pistols and liked them but they are kinda hard for me to shoot because of way they open, that's why I like the break open rifle(I can use both hands). I'm thinking a 16" or 18" handirifle so I can back up inexperienced hunters when I go in the woods with them. Now I'm using a suppressed 223 savage axis.

They even guarantee the 7.62x39? I have only seen that turd shoot sub moa in one rifle.

If you want to go with one, ask them.

There is some dependence on the ammunition, but I have been told that some AK-47s are that accurate too. So, the potential is there.

I just received my barrel for my T/C Contender from MGM this week. 15" 1in8 twist full bull profile. I am hoping to make it to the range this weekend weather permitting. I have loaded up some 120gr SMK and with the throat on this one I can seat them out to 2.340 OAL. and still be .010 off the lands. Will let you guys know soon as I get some shooting done.

HANKA, as to brake open actions; I have written Investarme, Italy asking them to build a set of feather weight 16" O/U 6.5 Grendel BBl. for Belle's O/U 410 with steel action. With Belle's 11" pull the rifle will be 27" long with a pistol scope on the mono block even with the aft end of the BBl's, it could be a single however I'm eccentric.
Investarme, builds a 8MM on this same action, so there are extractors that will work.

what did you use for the forward trigger? I have built a bul-pup sks need system for forward trigger. Tell me about the left -hand action with fluted barrel, Belle is a lefties.

I've thought that a nice combo gun would be a older Savage 24 chambered in Grendel and 20 gauge. Advances in ammo in the last few years means turkey and goose are within the capability of the 20 gauge and we all know what the Grendel can do. I think you'd wind up with one gun that could hunt 90% of the game in North America. A QD scope setup would be needed to take advantage of the Grendel's capabilities while allowing easy removing for shotgunning.

I think it'd be quite a gun.
