DIY Cerakote-C

We have used Cerakote here everyday for the past 3+ years. I can tell you from my experience. The C series Cerakote is the high temp paint for temps up to 1800 degrees. I will use this on our suppressors only and also use it for personal projects such as engine headers/exhaust. The C series is not as scratch resistant as the H series Cerakote and it requires five days to fully cure, so beware. We use the H series on everything from our receivers, barrels, plastic parts, you name it. You are better off using the H series. It's just two extra steps like adding hardener and baking it.

So far as I know, everyone I've seen has used the H series.

The main industry application for C-series is suppressor and machine gun barrel use, since it is rated to such a high temperature.

Other than that, I think the H-series is the way to go.
