Grendel AR gas pistol build

Hi all, I just scored a new 10" Satern barrel and am embarking on a project to build a gas piston 6.5 Grendel pistol. My smithy says it is doable....get the parts. I have been frustrated with AA (that is Alexander Arms) for getting parts for my other Grendels in the past. Has anyone else out there done this?
