Where to Find a Pepper Popper?

I tried ordering one from JCSteel but got no reply. Any sources for a varmit sized spring back target?

I have the MGM auto-popper colt speed plate. I picked up some 3/16" x 1 1/6" x 36" flat steel and made my own sniper legs base

JC Steel may be a bit backed up at the moment as they just hosted a huge tactical match last week. I've gotten lots of stuff from them in the past and they've been very good so if you need something from them I'd just be a little patient at the moment.

Coincidentally, I actually won a Pepper Popper at the match for killing it in the "Fast and Furious" stage:



I can't wait to get it set up on my Montana range. These things are fun to shoot. We had a bunch of them from 300 to 500 yds at the match and they make for a nice challenge in a stiff wind.

At the North Springs Shooting Range where I will be running my Designated Marksman course this month, there are hundreds upon hundreds of steel targets. I think they have 400 18" steel plates alone. The 1000yd, 600yd, 300yd, and 100yd ranges have tons of steel on them, as does the cowboy action village, & LE training center.

The have hunting ranges filled with every 3D target you could imagine, from rodents to dinosaurs. They have a maintenance shack where steel target fabrication and repair can be done as well. Everything is AR500. They spent something like $5.4 million on the range. I haven't really seen any ranges like it in my life.

There's a whole other portion to it that I won't describe because I want it to be a surprise for those attending the DM Course, but needless to say, it's a very cool range complex.

If you have simple poppers, you can mount a spring to the back of them to get them to auto-reset.

One of these days I'm going to order some more targets and rebar target stand kits from JC Steel. Thier prices are great and I like fact that the profits are invested into helping the kids at the ranch.

JC Steel did get back with me and I placed an order with them as well. He said four days till they ship it out.
