IOR Valdada 4-28x56 40mm MX-7 SF

I'm leaning pretty hard toward the USO SN-3 with a 35 mm tube and 58 mm objective now. The Valdada is not even in consideration, but I'm not ruling out the S&B, Vortex Razor, or Nightforce. You guys have been a big help, thanks for all the advice. I'm pretty new to really high end optics. I'm going to do some more research, I'll post some pics and video when she's all said and done.

You're not that far away from me so if you ever want to come down and shoot some extreme range just let me know. We're a bunch of hillbillies but we've got a lot of flat ground and some decent rifles.

I honestly don't expect to do any serious shooting at 2700 yards, it's just something I want to try.

Nice action/stock/bottom metal/trigger. Did you see the bolt knobs with the hex socket in the end of them to mate with 1/2" bolt heads? It turns your bolt into a field wrench. Is that what your different bolt handles are? Looking forward to her getting piped-up daddy!

No mine is just a regular handle. It's threaded on so I can put whatever I want on it if I get tired of this one. The barrel is supposed to show up next week, I'll get her torqued on and chambered up, coat the metal, and bed the action. Can't wait to see what sh'e gonna do. Still haven't set my mind to a certain optic yet. Better get my mind made up fast! Hey thanks for all the help by the way, I really appreciate all your great advice. I know you know this already, but wait to select your scope and ring combination after the pipe is installed so you can see what clearance you will have with the objective piece. You will want some tough rings with a solid reputation for the big boy. I've seen guys blow their optics off their custom .338 LM rifles when they were pushing 250gr loads at insane pressures. Looks like you have the one-piece Surgeon action, so you don't have to worry about your rail blowing off.

Did you say how much MOA cant is in that receiver? Great choice really. Rob some crack dealers and buy as many scopes as you want, starting with the Hensoldt! Or better yet, become a school super attendant and rob the taxpayers!
