I still can't believe how well the Grendel shoots!!

Hi Folks,
I am not for sure if I told you folks about my second build?? 4-5 weeks ago or so I found myself some Grendel brass 1x fired. This man had 300 1x Lapua brass and if I wanted to buy the brass I had to buy his Barrel. The barrel was a AA - 24" barrel, there are more specs for the barrel but since I don't have the sheet in front of me I don't want to tell it wrong, anyway I loaded up some 107's and 129's , I took both rifles out to the range and I had made up my mind that I would keep the one that shot the best and would sell the other I still have both rifles they shoot allmost idenical groups sun moa at 100yds with me shooting them, I can't believe how good they wood shoot if a shooter was behind the triggers?? If I could only have one rifle it would be a 6.5 Grendel and I guess I would go with the shorter barrel one??????????????? Is there anyone on here shooting out to 500yds or beyond? If so, I would like to hear about the results powders and bullets ect.

There is some great development going on right now with CFE223 powder and the longer bullets. I'm not sure what you'll get with the 107's and CFE, but it seems like a great powder so far for the 129gr SST's, especially out of the 24" gun for long range.

I would also have you consider getting some PRI 6.8 mags, that allow 2.300" COAL, so you can get more powder into the case, without compressing. Bwild97 got 2700fps with the 129gr SST's loaded longer than Grendel mag length for single loads, but they'll fit in a PRI 6.8 mag.

You can also look at the 130gr class of target bullets if you're soley looking at punching paper or ringing steel.

LR, thanks for all the advice. I was only shooting those Hornady 107gr was because I got them in a bundel of bullets that I bought! So I want to use those up when sighting those rifles in and just to shoot them up. I want to use the 130's or 129gr and I realy want to load up some Berger bullets. At this time I am going to keep both of them. I have plans on shooting long range with my rifles because of my back injury I can't do anything other than doing something sitting down and then very short times> Last time I went to the range I allmost had everything set up and I had to put everything up and get home on the heat pad. I welcome any kind of advice, I be reloading since 1972 and I have 3 dillons and I learn something new every day.
