KAC just won a contract to equip certain SOF elements within the UK.

Very interesting configuration with its barrel length, mini suppressor, new Vortex 1-10x LPVO, Aimpoint ACRO Mini RDS, FDE coating, Suppressor thermal insulator:

Interesting they have a second torch on the left hand side of the rifle. The flashlight-integrated laser is a German LLM, however apparently the flashlight part of it is not outstanding (internet scuttlebutt). Maybe the torch on the left is to make up for it, and if so, less than optimal.

The Aimpoint Arco on top also seems an expensive add on. Surely the Vortex reticle on 0 magnification would be bright enough for both eyes open CQB. No doubt they've thought this through. I hear this is for Tier 2 operators.

Regardless, the existing L119A1 and A2 Canadian AR carbines used by Tier 1 are unlikely to be replaced by the KAS rifle.
