At about 8:20 in the video they mention an issue that often occurs with the Grendel: the pressure from the primer ignition is enough to start bullet movement before the main powder charge ignites. In other words, by the time the main charge of powder begins to burn, the bullet has already moved foreword enough that the effective case volume has increased. This is why some programs like Quickload tend to overestimate the chamber pressure.

That should be “required reading” for anyone who reloads! Definitely got my attention, filled in a lot of blanks and has changed my “MO”!

Wish they would have been a little more forthcoming with how to choose the optimum burn rate for a specific bullet weight/cartridge combination, however, the manual offers a little more guidance there.

One thing I picked up on was how a small crosswind affects a bullet even at 100yds.

Watched the external bullet and the internal ballistics videos yesterday. Great info in those videos.
