If I had a bolt action to do it with, I would. I dont want to damage half the cases trying to deprime with an AR.

What? Use a normal decapping die and go carefully. Hell use your resizing die and screw down the expander ball/depriming pin so it doesnt actually resize but will still remove the primer. Waste not need not.

I had always read not to deprime that way, only to do so by discharging it. Ive also never had a need to deprime primed cases, until now apparently. I guess Ill give it a shot.

Yea just go slow and careful. It's a scary thing to do no matter how many times you do it but I've yet to have one actually go off in about 1000 that I've done. We living in hard times, can't just discharge primers anymore.

You always could just ship the primed brass ground. Same as ammo.
