Mod 1 bolts

FWIW I just measured one of the new bolt's walls compared to a LMT enhanced 68 bolt and the Mod 1 wall is thicker by .003 inch. Having said that I have no idea of the metallurgy of the Mod 1 bolt versus the LMT and copy John's statement of not "Hot-rodding" his product yet Mel's testing shows what is possible with this product.

I also found it interesting that the LMT extractor claw was .030 shorter than the claw on the Mod 1 bolt. Which makes me wonder if the new dimensions of the Mod 1 bolt reflect this change of measurement? What say you SixFiveArms?

Material for my MONSTER bolts is 9310 with proper heat treat. This is the same as my standard bolts; no change there.

As far as extractor claws, if you're measuring a 6.8 SPC claw, they probably have the same dimensions as 5.56.

No I used a ARP 65 SB, which bty has a slightly thinner wall also.
