AK Mags for 6.5 Grendel????

I'm sure this has been asked before but will 6.5 Grendel cartridges feed through an AK Magazine??? MagPul mags??? Thank you, Jerry.

You might get 2-3 rounds to feed out of the mag, but after that the case taper is too different to allow any sort of stacking. This is why there are Grendel-specific mags for the AK.

OK, makes sense, but why hasn't a company approached magpul to make a magazine specific for the 6.5 Grendel/6mm ARC on the AK type pattern since you can get AR's with AK mag wells???? Just wondering.. Jerry.

I suspect there isn’t enough demand to warrant the tooling for Magpul to invest in 6.5 Grendel AK mags. Csspecs manufactures 6.5 Grendel mags for the Vepr and a magazine designed for the AKM stamped receiver. I think Evocatus Strategic is also manufacturing AK 6.5 Grendel mags.
