Need help with barrel

I am having trouble making a decision on what barrel to buy for an AR 6.5 G and was hoping someone could help me out. I want to spend 500 $ max on a barrel bolt combo that produces as much accuracy as possible. My goal is .50 to .75 MOA this is going to be a SPR rifle because I want to increase my effective range over my previous 556 SPR. That rifle is capable of around .35 moa with the right ammo but just isn't hard enough hitting at the longer ranges. Weight for the new barrel isn't a massive concern but the lighter the better. It needs to be threaded and I would prefer it to be 20'' as well. I would rather not wait several months for it to be made although it seems at the moment that might be the only way. I was leaning towards a shilen match barrel with bolt from midway I think it was for 499 but the only problem is it's not thread. What's your opinions much appreciated.

I looked at their website and they had no non fluted barrels in stock is there another retailer I can get these from. If not how long does it normally take to get something to come into stock again.

Rebby from SixSigmaArms has been ordering barrels from Lilja but I don’t know of any other vendor who actually has Lilja barrels ready to ship. Custom barrel shops like Precision Firearms use Lilja barrel blanks but usually offer other barrel blanks like Bartlien, Douglas, Criterion, McGown, Shilen or Brux. Rock Creek barrels get good reviews but I’d say you’d have to order and wait.

If you decide to go Lilja I would either order directly from Lilja or check with rebby because he may have what you want on order and might have quicker delivery.

The group buy now is pretty slow because of supply. In the past this site administrator Blunt Force Trauma (BFT) would release specs for barrels he was going to order. He’d get an idea how many members wanted barrels and placed an order. BFT normally ordered a few extra but for convenance he set up his own web site (SixFiveArms) where you can buy online. The lilja barrels were sold by rebby as group buys but rebby is affiliated or owns SixSigmaArms. Rebby would anounce his plans to order Lilja barrels and you could get on the list to order a barrel. The advantage of SixSigmaArms is rebby would assemble uppers or offer cerokote certain products.

The main benefit to the group buys was quality products at great prices. I’ve indulged as I have purched several group buy 6.5 Grendel bolts and three 6.5 Grendel barrels. BFT currently has barrels in 6.5 Grendel and 6 MM ARC ordered from Green Mountain. The last election and pandemic have caused increased demand but affected production and delivery schedules. Last I checked there were still 12” Monster Logo 6 MM ARC barrels in stock on SixFiveArms. In the industry partner section there are threads concerning the group buys for SixFiveArms and SixSigmaArms.

Nowadays, whoever has it in stock or can get it quickest for you.
Fluting does not save much weight, only costs more.
Look at Lilja direct, I got their 20" 740 I think it is called.
They also have a "319"... but the 740 was my cup o tea. It was threaded as well. Straight 20".
Shoots lots better than I can.
