Were any of you who own a rifle, that uses one of these Uppers; able to find an adjustable gas block that fits? .907 OD land, seems to be and odd ball size, as the only available sizes are .650, .750, .875, and .936. What is the OD of the barrel at the muzzle end, before the thread diameter? One more question, what thread does your barrel have? 9/16-24tpi or 3/4-28tpi
Sorry for all the Q's but I'm still weighing my options, and the AA barrels seem to have awkward dimensions according to the parts available on the net.

BW7 ., You probably don't need an adj. block,, but a buddy is looking into honing the inside of a JP clamp on to the .906 arena. , just to see what is good-, or bad of it. It will be the steel unit. He, at my request-may make a thin shim so we could use the .936 block, from the .308's.. He's the best prototype machinist ever.- so whatever he thinks/says/does= I go with that. If he redesigns the entire unit-= totally from top to bottom, we'll be in business. I'll post results late in spring. For some reason,, I want one too. I think a few here would be interested also.? I have the AA 19.5 upper, .906. Maybe it's one of those=I didn't want it- until you said I can't have it , things. hmmmmm.....
Sounds Grendelicious!!! Please keep me updated toward his progress. I'm still on the fence as to which to purchase, The 24" AA Upper or the 24" J&T kit. I still have yet to talk to the J&T people for specific dimensions on their barrels. I want an adjustable gas block or at least one that will allow me to turn off the flow of gas for single shot use. My future plans are to buy one of AA's Side charging upper receivers and a 28" 6.5 Grendel barrel from Krieger.

Yeah, it'll be a month or 2. Everyone is so busy, lack of hiring (sad) at most places puts the current staffs , of any business- on a high stress level- everywhere around the USA. This is the main reason the ( big push came thru a few yrs. ago---Create a union!!!!!) I'm in one and it sucks. Anyway- he has an extra machine shop= in his home garage. I'll convince him to let me in to try and perfect one-at my expense.
