18" barrel, rifle or mid length gas

Im trying to decide between two barrels
Ballistic Advantage 18" SPR stainless fluted with a rifle length gas system
Faxon 18" Big gunner with a mid length gas system
both barrels are made from the same materials 416R stainless steel
the gun will be for hunting hogs & deer at no more that 300 yards most shots will be with in 100 yards

Rifle gas. Mid length may be ok but the rifle gas shoots softer.
imo the ba barrel is also a tad better than the faxon. I had both and the ba does better for me. Sold the faxon.
