Found a group of deer grazing in the pasture about 400yds from my house,,,,right along with some hogs rooting.
I once thought if I saw deer, there would not be any hogs, but I've seen this quite a few times over the years.
I went down to the pasture and got to about 100yds of them. Only was able to get one. Hog was quartering away slightly. Bullet hit behind left ear(almost in the ear), and traveled towards the right side of his mouth. Couldn't tell for sure, but it looked like some shrapnel may have exited the mouth. Main thing is, he was DRT.
Not trying to clutter up the forum, just passing on my experiences with the 123 ELD-M bullets. They are like just about any other bullet,,,,hit the right spot, DRT, otherwise they run a little bit,,,,,and if they run far enough, I don't have to haul'em off.
