Hydraulic Recoil Buffers...

Any thoughts/recommendations out there on hydraulic recoil buffers???

I have used them. they do soften the recoil, and they reduce the cycle rate. They have been reported to leak, and to change in efficiency as a result. I haven't used them much since, even in my .458 socom where it was most effective.

I can stop by Enidine's booth here at SHOT and ask them about something specific to the Grendel.

I use the Enidine rifle buffer in my Grendel with no problems or leaks. I think it works just fine and makes for quick target re-aquisition.

I use the MGI. It's somewhat overpriced, but works well. Don't think it has any fluids to leak.

That's a different approach to the same idea, a spring loaded buffer instead of hydraulic. I've not tried one.
