Here's my low budget build. Upper, lower and 1 magazine cost.... $307 US dollars, including shipping!
As show with the scope and bi-pod, total cost was $414.

New Frontier LW-4 Complete lower and CPD 10 round magazine. $132.

Bi pod from Amazon. $37

Vanstarry scope. 4-16X44. $70 crystal clear optics. We'll l see how it holds zero.

No offense, but I wish you luck sir. I really hope you got one of the "good" barrels from BCA. If you didn't, another 150 will fix that, and you'll have a $400 retail upper. So you're ahead, after being behind.

As far as the glass goes, you're going to need it.

There are folks who are quick to put down BCA uppers.
I’ve bought several BCA uppers in various AR15 calibers.I buy them for the reciever,BCG and handguard.Which I find to be a steal for $200.All USA quality parts.
I shot the BCA 24” SS fluted 6.5 Grendel barrel that came with the upper for a year.It took a 200-300 rd break in and some time to find a load it liked.I had it shooting moa consistently.Sub moa sometimes.
I got a friend who bought all my BCA barrels for $50 ea.He has gotten them all to shoot sub MOA.He’s retired and has the time and patience to work with them.He has a 224 Valkyrie BCA barrel shooting an amazing 1/4” groups!
Most barrels are accurate once you break them in and find what they like.The thing I’ve found about quality match barrels is that they shoot much better out the box.And have a much higher % of being a sub moa shooter.
Have fun shooting your BCA upper.For $200 they are a great deal..And know that BCA will replace barrels if you are not satisfied w/accuracy.

I have put together an upper with a BCA 24 inch 1:8 twist Straight fluted Barrel in the 6.5 Grendel. So far I have 60 Rounds through it with no complaints. Let you know.

Right now,I do not own a BCA barrel.But,from my experience and others?.Those barrels take a 200-300 rds break in period.
Get you a Tipton or dewy one piece cleaning rod,a bore guide and run several patches through the barrel(till they come out clean)after every shooting session.

I put my mutt together for about $300 as well. BCA 20" Stainless upper, PSA lower and "fill kit." Upside is that I got the glass and mount through a points for product program at work. First run will be on Saturday...if it's not too busy. The "Deer Punters" are in sighting in their rifles for a season they knew was coming for 12 months. Kind of a PITA. But, the range makes good money on this run.

I've got my ARs color coded. Got a flat top Bush with a 3x9 in black. A PSA 5.56 high top on iron with "baby poop brown" clothes, and this which is gray with the black handguard and stainless barrel. It actually looks pretty cool, and I've got used to the "baby poop." All shoot pretty well so far. Not a lot of rounds through either 5.56 at this point, but winter is here.
