Got the yitch for bolt action build ( no pics yet )

I have been playing with 16" inch odin AR and been very happy with it . I usually hunt coyos during fall / winter ( cali desert is way too hot to hunt during summer ) , so I decided to build bolt action for range purpose . I think its going to be rather quick build than AR's . less parts involved .

Parts list

Brownell howa 1500 mini 20" heavy threaded action
Oryx OD green chassis
Gamma brake
Gen 1 razor 5-20x50 / 1" vortex rings
Outerimpact 0 moa base

Nothing much to it , other than just putting together once I have everything .

Sounds like a cool build. I really like my CZ built before they decided to finally chamber the 527 for the Grendel

I love the AR platform , but if I were going to do a bolt action build ,Howa barreled actions cannot be beat for price and Performance .My buddy got one in 308 it’s a tack driver

Luckly my buddy has one in 762x39 , I was able to check it out . plus forum reading aid to pull the trigger . my used razor came in today . my first 35mm tube Impression is I think it might be overkill . coming from medium powered scopes I own , It feels like this is some sorta old antique tank design lol . I will get good feel for it once action , chassis are here and see how it balances out

Most definitely ! I usually don't have more than 1 rifle in same caliber , but I love Grendel so much that rest are safe queen lol

update .. Got the chassis delivered and decided to give front end like KRG bravo style

it was fun small project overall . cut isnt like machine cut , but it actually turned out nicely .

now hardest part to do is just leaving it alone till my action comes in ... not keep d***ing with it lol

well Howa with Oryx @ 11lbs 2.8 oz . I dont mind since this is for bench build anyway .
