Help Me Decide Barrel Length

I would appreciate a little more help deciding which weapon to buy. I either want a PSA 12” pistol or a 16”-20” rifle in 6.5 G. I think I could make my mind up pretty quick if I had a comparison of the energy and drop at 100 and 200 yards for these three lengths.

First you need to answer the question of what will it be used for.

Hunting? What range?
Shtf/home defense/self defense?
Target fun?
Competition shooting?
Combination of these or all?
Will you be packing the weapon around much?

We need more details of this upcoming weapons life before we can give good feedback.

Hunting 50-200 yards.
Hunting hogs and whitetails.
Target & fun.
Would prefer the pistol for portability and use as a truck gun. Just not sure if I would be giving to much knock down power.

Why did you post this 4 times? Under 200 yards you can use anything you want.

200 yards and closer pick whatever length from 16 to 11 inch's that trips your trigger and kill and enjoy the meat from deer and hogs.

No problem. One side note. Choose good game bullets for whatever barrel length you go with.

Have taken pigs out to 318 yes with 12 inch pistol - no problem.
